Dear Greenacres Middle School Students and Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year and what an exciting time it is to be a Bruin! It truly is an honor and privilege to be able to serve as the principal of Greenacres Middle School. The anticipation of having students back in the building has been exciting and we look forward to learning about each and every one of you. I have a deep love and respect for this school community and believe that our children are our greatest asset. Our goal is to create a safe and respectful learning environment that is equitable for all to achieve high levels of academic success, social-emotional well-being, and excellent moral character. Students will be cared for as we push them to become contributing members of our community.
GMS strives to provide world-class learning and teaching experiences all while supporting the whole child. Success is not accidental and it takes an intentional team effort for our students to reach their goals and achieve their greatest potential. I believe this team effort includes our students, staff, and extraordinary community. With the great efforts of all stakeholders our kids will have an excellent educational experience that not only aims to prepare them for daily success, but also ensures that they have everything it takes to succeed for years to come. Together we can accomplish great things!
It is my sincere hope that this year is one of the best ever. GMS has experienced a great deal of change over the past few years and I view it as an opportunity to continue to pivot and build upon the identity and spirit of our amazing school. This can be achieved through hard work, enthusiasm, and leading with a sense of optimism as our students deserve the best!
