GMS Athletics Information

2026 - 2027 Sports Registration opens August 11, 2026, for ALL Sports. Please select which sports your student-athlete will participate in for the entire year. 

Please follow the steps below for registration and fee payments. 

STEP 1: Parents AND athletes must complete the Final Forms online registration.
 
**Student Final Form accounts must use their student email
(Student ID#@cvsd356.org)
*Please refer to the help guide for creating accounts. 
 
 
STEP 2:  Provide and upload a current physical in Final Forms. Physicals are good for two years and are required for any participation. 
 
                                 Walk-in locations for a sports physical:
                                       Multicare Indigo Urgent Care - Spokane Valley
                                       Providence Urgent Care - Spokane Valley
                                       CHAS Valley Medical Clinic
 
STEP 3: Pay your fees --> Online Payments (Click HERE)
NOTE: This is only available on the website portal, not the PowerSchool App. If you are accessing through a mobile device, you will need to log in to the website portal.
        • $20 ASB Fee (paid one time each school year, non-refundable)
        • Each sport has a $10 activity fee and a $5 participation fee. ($15 Total per Sport)
        • Non-refundable after the first game/competition
        • Fees must be paid to participate in a contest.

  • Fall - August 11
  • Late Fall - September 29
  • Winter - (Boys Basketball December 8 and Girls Basketball January 26)
  • Spring - March 16 

    NOTE: If your student qualifies for free or reduced lunch, they may be eligible for a sports fee waiver. Please contact the office for more information. 

 
STEP 4: Proof of Insurance. All students participating in athletics must be covered by medical insurance, with information verified on Final Forms.
 
*Please note that student-athletes are not eligible to participate until they have completed the above steps and been approved by the Athletic Administration. 
 
Central Valley Middle Schools operate no-cut athletic programs. However, this does not mean that students will have equal playing time. When we have large turnouts, we create one or two additional "junior varsity" teams to allow for more playing time for student-athletes.
